We draft the technical specification

We document the brief in the format factories understand: materials, dimensions, tolerances, packaging requirements, application methods. At this stage we fix a $200–400 pre-production fee — the amount is credited towards the order cost.

We select 2–3 factories and request samples

We pick factories from our base or source one for the task. We request samples with different finishes so you can compare.

We launch serial production

After the sample is approved we sign the contract and launch the run. Photo and video reports from the factory at every key stage.

No hidden terms

To avoid misunderstandings — honestly about money and timing

  • Reply within 24 hours — that's for the first message. Not for the final quote.
  • A full quote takes 3–5 working days — we need to source the factory, request prices, assess the realism of the timeline.
  • Pre-production work $200–400 — paid separately before launch, credited to the cost of the main order. This covers factory sourcing, drafting the brief and requesting samples.
  • Samples are paid — each factory charges $30–100 per sample plus delivery. This is not our markup, it is the factory's cost.
  • MOQ on custom items is usually higher — from 1,000 units for simple forms, from 3,000–5,000 for new tooling. Some negotiation is possible, not always.
  • If none of the samples satisfy — we will request from other factories. You pay only for the samples you ordered, no refund for unsuccessful ones.

What clients usually ask

What is the minimum order quantity?
For simple forms (plastic wine glasses, corkscrews from existing moulds) — from 1,000 units. For new tooling (custom design, unique dimensions) — from 3,000–5,000 units. Tooling is an investment that only pays off on larger runs. If the volume is smaller — we discuss individually; sometimes factories will accommodate.
What if none of the samples fit?
We will analyse why they did not work, request from other factories or adjust the brief. Samples are paid — each factory charges $30–100 plus delivery. This is non-refundable, but it is the factory's real cost, not our markup. In practice, 7 out of 10 projects close on the first or second round of samples.
How is the design protected from leaks?
An NDA with the factory is signed before files are shared. Each project has a dedicated factory-side manager, and file access is restricted. In practice, serious factories value their reputation and do not take the risk. With new, unknown factories we do not work on your files.
What files should I send?
Ideally: CAD drawing (DWG, STEP) for 3D forms, vector logo (AI, EPS, PDF) for branding, brand book with PANTONE colours. But you can start with a reference photo and a written description. The more detail, the faster the technical specification, and the more accurate the quote.
What about quality guarantees?
Selective pre-shipment inspection by checklist, photo report; the defect rate is fixed in the contract. If defects exceed the agreed level — compensation or replacement. Full terms — on the page Guarantees and quality.
Do you work with new brands with no prior orders?
Yes. But for the first project we ask for 100% prepayment — standard practice for new clients. After the first successful order we move to 50/50 (50% on signing, 50% before dispatch) or other terms.
